Technical Solutions is seeking a Junior Professional Land Surveyor for our client, a growing locally based civil engineering and survey firm. The position requires a Surveyor in Training (SIT) to assist their growing surveying department.
Responsibilities:
*Prepare/review daily data, and assist in monitoring field survey crews
*Help direct field and office staff to execute field surveys
*Perform quality control of survey plans, record plats, descriptions and reviews of title commitments
*Process field work data
*Prepare and review CAD work, plats and final surveys
*Survey boundary analysis and computations of ALTA and topography surveys utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D
*Assist in training and management of survey department field crews, CAD technicians, and support staff
*Schedule and coordinate between other departments and companies
*Perform field survey work
*Meet with clients to discuss their needs and review projects
*Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
*5 to 10 years of experience
*SIT required, Pennsylvania Professional Land Surveyor Registration (PLS) preferred
*Strong competence in using AutoCAD Civil 3D including surface modeling
*Strong multi-tasking and follow-up skills
*Ability to provide guidance and mentoring to staff in the growing survey practice
*Experience with residential subdivisions and commercial types of developments
*Understand jurisdictional requirements and PA Municipal Planning Process
*Self-starter who can work independently and with team members
*Excellent written and communication skills
*Business Development/Marketing experience and/or client contacts are a plus
