Technical Solutions Inc. is currently seeking an Inside Sales Engineer on behalf of our client, a Pittsburgh area manufacturer.  
  • Resource for quoting spare parts and systems to customers in support of outside sales force.
  • Contact for customers and outside sales representative when outside sales force is not available for customers to find out delivery and any other questions about products and services.
  • Field incoming customer calls and provide necessary information related to pricing, availability, application of products and order status.
  • Coordinate with internal production management on product availability, scheduling and delivery.
  • Coordinate delivery of literature/samples for outside sales force.
  • Overall support of the client's sales effort.
  • Perform other related work as assigned by Manager which may include sales and marketing functions.
  • This position can lead to outside field sales engineer with account and travel responsibilities.  

Job Requirements


  • General business office and/or sales experience.
  • Technical background in control of machinery, electronics or hydraulics
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Able to resolve conflicts
  • Able to multi-task
  • Attention to detail
  • Technical background desired
  • Pleasant phone voice, neat professional appearance.
  • Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, QuickBooks, etc.
  • Two year Technical/Business Degree or equivalent experience.
