Technical Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Process Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading consulting engineering firm in Pittsburgh for their growing office. The Sr. Process Engineer is responsible for providing technical input preparing project deliverables on assigned projects as well as participating in business development activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare heat and material balance and other engineering calculations
- Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs)
- Size and select process equipment and prepare process equipment datasheets and specifications
- Pressure relief device sizing and specification including pressure relief networks
- Assist in identifying and developing new Chemical industry clients
- Assist with Chemical marketing initiatives
- Contact potential clients to establish rapport, arrange meetings, and make sales presentations
- Assist in the creation of sales presentations for chemical clients
- Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events
- Develop quotes and proposals for clients
- Actively engage with project team members for project related matters relevant to our clients
- Perform process engineering duties on assigned projects as required.
- Comply with our client's policies
- Other duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- P. Eng / P.E. an asset
- Fifteen (15) + years engineering experience
- Ten (10) + years working in/with the chemical industry
- Ability to manage complex tasks with shifting priorities and multi-task
- Experience with process simulation software an asset (i.e., Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, ProSim, CHEMCAD, AVEVA PRO/II, etc.)
- Development of process engineering estimates and proposal writing experience for projects ranging from feasibility studies to detailed engineering
- Understanding of engineering design and construction principles
