Technical Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician on behalf of our client, a manufacturer with facilities in the Pittsburgh area.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installation and wiring of electrical components including power distribution (120 VAC up to 480 VAC), instrumentation and industrial control devices
- Install wire handling systems including conduit, junction boxes, enclosures and cable handling trays
- Perform basic plumbing activities including tubing & piping installations
- Perform basic metal fabrication including uni-strut installation, mounting brackets and enclosure modifications
- Read and interpret electrical & mechanical engineering drawings to determine what is required in manufacturing
- Perform a variety of other manufacturing & assembly tasks
- Maintain company standards for quality workmanship
- Exercise safe personal and electrical practices
- Participate in ongoing training & development activity
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- High School education, Vocational training or GED required
- Technical certifications, advanced training or additional education a plus
- Electromechanical assembly experience a major plus
- Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
- Practical knowledge of basic electrical circuits, electrical components, wiring and crimping
- Ability to utilize a wide range of power & hand tools - rigid conduit/tube bending experience a plus
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of employees
- Solid basic computer skills including working knowledge of Office products and work order systems
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis and stand for extended periods including kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders
- Ability to drive a forklift a plus
- Proven top-performer and team player in past jobs
- Available to work 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with potential overtime including extended hours
- Up to 20% overnight (out of town) travel possible upon completion of training
