Technical Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager on behalf of our client, a manufacturer with facilities in the Pittsburgh area. The Project Manager must have an engineering background in the Steel, Aluminum, or Industrial manufacturing areas.
Principal Duties:
- Set up new projects in SAP and manage the customer orders utilizing SAP
- Develop a detailed project plan for each project which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project and to track progress
- Manage the projects during all phases (engineering, manufacturing, delivery, construction) and expedite all internal and external sources to meet the project schedule and budget
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Monitor project costs and report monthly on project execution progress and financial situation
- Manage and update the project schedule
- Manage and resolve project stakeholder issues
- Travel to project site location as needed in the US and globally
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- BS Degree In Mechanical, Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years working experience in the metals or industrial environment as a project engineer or project manager
- SAP experience is a plus
- Able to read and interpret contracts and project requirements
- Well-developed interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate effectively on various levels, verbally and in writing is essential
- Fluent in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project and AutoCAD
- Understand project budgets and how to manage project budgets
- Able to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem
- Possess solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
